AICPA Peer Review

The AICPA is the organization that gives oversight to the CPA profession in the U.S. They have many requirements and standards that help ensure a CPA is serving their clients effectively and reporting financial information accurately. One of AICPA’s requirements is their Peer Review Program. Through this program CPAs are reviewed by other CPAs who specialize in compliance of AICPA policies, regulations, and standards. These reviews happen every three years.  Quoting the CalCPA website: “A peer review is a periodic outside review of a firm’s accounting and auditing practice aimed at helping the firm maintain and improve the quality of its services.” Our firm has been a Peer Review Program participant since the program’s inception, and has undergone many such reviews. In each one we received the highest rating possible.
